Sunday, Apr. 11˚
Began to clear during our stay in camp & at start sun breaking through clouds. During 15 hour march cleared away brilliantly. Nearly calm, very light air S. & W. Sun hot, glare intense. Temp at starting -13˚.

Agreeably disappointed in today's march. The lake young ice in Captains march of 30 been constantly on mind. Expected open water or obliteration of trail by rafting. Found both but kept trail. Lunch at lead igloos. As we finished, lead opened behind us. Fresh fox tracks near here. Animal disturbed by my approach.
